This seminar focuses on "eating" in post-war Japan. We will read historical materials related to "eating" and especially to spatiality. Through discussion of the historical materials, we will learn about the historical changes in “eating” up to the present. We will also learn how to search for related historical materials.
The aim of this seminar is to understand the relationship between spatiality and eating in post-war Japan and is to learn how to think historically about ordinary things like eating.

本演習は、主として第二次世界大戦後の日本における「食」をテーマとする。とりわけ空間性と食という観点から関連する史料を輪読し、史料についてのディスカッションを通じて、現在に至る「食」の歴史的な変遷を検討する。また関連史料の捜索方法について参加者の間で共有を図り、歴史的な調査の行い方について知見を深める。

戦後日本の空間性と食について史料をもとにした発見や理解を得ることを目指す。あわせて、「食」をはじめとする身近なテーマを歴史的に考える方法を習得することを目指す。
