The course will enhance students' understanding of fundamental theories and methods of geography and its adjacent disciplines the findings of previous research and so on. In addition, students will learn and put into practice the methodologies for designing their research.
Students will engage in reading of research papers and discussing them with other participants, in line with their own interests and awareness of issues, to improve their capabilities for practice fieldwork-based research and writing research papers.

本科目の受講に際しては初回の授業ガイダンスに出席して、授業の概要や進め方を確認することを勧める。
地理学や隣接諸分野における基礎的な理論と方法論について理解を深める。その過程で得た知と技法をふまえて自身の研究を構想し、今後の調査研究や論文執筆に生かす。
The course will enhance students' understanding of fundamental theories and methods of geography and its adjacent disciplines the findings of previous research and so on. In addition, students will learn and put into practice the methodologies for designing their research.
各参加者の興味・関心や問題意識をふまえたうえで、地理学と地域研究や人類学など隣接諸分野から文献を選んで精読し、その紹介と討論を通して調査研究のプロセスや手法について学ぶ。そして、自身のこれまでの研究内容と問題意識を鑑みつつ、今後の研究を構想し、発表と討論を行う。
Students will engage in reading of research papers and discussing them with other participants, in line with their own interests and awareness of issues, to improve their capabilities for practice fieldwork-based research and writing research papers.
