Students will develop comprehensive understanding of social issues surrounding education and cultivate the ability to evaluate and analyze educational activities based on the principles of sustainable human development. They will acquire skills to devise concrete solutions to various ethical challenges in educational practice, while developing the capacity to examine the social and personal impacts of education from diverse perspectives.
This course is designed to facilitate a multifaceted examination of the challenges confronting modern society and the role of education. With a focus on the SDGs, especially the concept of "sustainable human development," we will delve into ethical issues in education through critical engagement with scholarly literature. The selection of reading materials will be a collaborative process, guided by the interests of the participating students.

この授業は、文献の精読を通じて、その分野の先行研究について理解を深めることを目的とします。
授業の進め方は以下の通りです。
毎回の授業前に、担当者は指定箇所についてレジュメを作成しておく。報告者以外の受講生も文献の指定箇所を読み、内容を理解しておく。
授業では、担当者が作成したレジュメに基づき、担当箇所の内容を報告する。他の受講生は、報告に関する質疑応答に参加する。
報告後は、教員および受講生全員で討議を行う。文献の論旨や方法、知見について議論し、理解を深める。

今の社会が抱えるさまざまな問題を幅広く理解し、一人ひとりが将来にわたって豊かに生きていくために、今の教育がどうあるべきかを分析する力を養います。また、教育の現場で起こる『何が正しいのか』と判断に迷うような難しい問題に対して、自分なりの具体的な解決策を考える力を身につけるとともに、教育が一人ひとりの人生や社会全体に対してどれほど大きな影響を与えるのかを、さまざまな立場から深く考えられるようになることを目指します。

この講義では、今の社会が抱える問題に対して教育がどんな役割を果たせるかを、さまざまな角度から考えます。特に、一人ひとりが将来にわたって豊かに生きていけることを目指す『持続可能な人間開発』という考え方を大切にしながら、教育に関わる道徳的・倫理的なテーマについて、本を読み解きながら深く議論します。なお、学習するテーマや読む本については、参加する皆さんの興味や関心に合わせて、皆さんと相談しながら一緒に決めていく形をとります。
