【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

本授業は、インタビュー調査法について哲学的前提・方法論・研究実践・倫理・報告基準が統合された研究アプローチとして理解し、研究として自立的に構築・遂行できる力を養うことを目的とする。特に2010年以後の欧米を中心とした質的研究の理論的・方法論的展開を踏まえ、現象学・解釈学・社会構成主義に基づく質的研究の位置づけを学ぶ。同時にインタビュー、サンプリング、分析、再帰性、倫理を一貫した研究デザインとして理解する。あわせて近年の生成AIを含む支援技術の動向を、修士・博士課程共通の基礎的知識として扱い、人間中心の質的研究を前提にその可能性と限界、倫理的課題を批判的に検討する。修士課程では自身の研究計画への適用力を、博士課程では方法論的選択を理論的に説明・活用できる力の獲得を目指す。

This course aims to develop students’ ability to understand interview methodology not as a collection of techniques, but as an integrated research approach grounded in philosophical assumptions, methodology, research practice, ethics, and reporting standards. Drawing on theoretical and methodological developments in qualitative research since 2010, particularly in Europe and North America, the course examines the positioning of qualitative inquiry based on phenomenology, hermeneutics, and social constructionism, and explores interviews, sampling, analysis, reflexivity, and ethics as a coherent research design. In addition, recent trends in analytic support technologies, including generative AI, are addressed as shared foundational knowledge for both master’s and doctoral students, with critical attention to their possibilities, limitations, and ethical implications from a human-centered qualitative perspective. Master’s students are expected to develop the ability to apply qualitative methods to their own research plans, while doctoral students are expected to articulate and justify methodological choices at a theoretical level and apply them in advanced research contexts.

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

本授業では、質的研究におけるインタビューを題材として、2010年以後に研究知見に基づきながら研究の進め方を基礎から応用まで体系的に扱う。各回の授業では事前に論文を指定し，担当学生は該当論文を事前に読み，レジュメを作成し，担当回において発表を行うこととする。質的研究の主要な方法論とその背景となる考え方を整理したうえで、研究課題の設定、サンプリング、質問設計、半構造化インタビューの実践を学ぶ。さらに、逐語録作成を分析の一部として位置づけ、再帰的テーマ分析を軸に質的データの読み取りと解釈の方法を具体的に検討する。あわせて、研究倫理や研究者の立場性、AIを用いた分析支援、国際的な研究報告基準にも触れ、質的インタビュー研究の全体像を理解する。

This course focuses on interviews in qualitative research and examines the research process in a systematic manner from foundational principles to advanced applications, drawing on methodological developments and research findings since 2010. It begins by organizing major qualitative research approaches and their underlying theoretical perspectives, and then addresses research question formulation, sampling strategies, question design, and the practice of semi-structured interviews. The course further positions transcription as an integral part of analysis and explores concrete methods for interpreting qualitative data, with particular emphasis on reflexive thematic analysis. In addition, issues of research ethics, researcher positionality, AI-assisted analytical support, and international reporting standards are introduced, enabling students to gain a comprehensive understanding of qualitative interview research.
