【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

藤原俊成著の歌学書『古来風躰抄』を精読することを通して、新古今歌風形成に重要な役割を果たした俊成の歌論への理解を深める。

Through a close reading of the poetry treatise Korai Fuutei Shō written by Toshinari Fujiwara, deepen understanding of Toshinari's poetry theory, which played an important role in the formation of the Shikokin style of poetry.

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

『古来風躰抄』を、初撰本である俊成自筆本に基づき、適宜再撰本と比較しながら読み進める。『古来風躰抄』の大半は、『万葉集』及び『古今集』から『千載集』までの勅撰集からの抄出歌により占められているが、本演習では、上巻の『万葉集』からの抄出歌以外の歌学的言説に関わる部分を中心に輪読を行う。『万葉集』や勅撰集の撰集史など、見所は多い。

Based on the first edition of the Toshinari's own handwritten book, and comparing it with the re-compiled editions as appropriate, we will read the Korai Fūtei Shō.
The majority of the Korai Fūtei Shō comprises poems taken from the Manyōshū and imperial anthologies from Kokinshū to Senzaishū.In this exercise, the reading will focus on the sections of the upper volume that are related to poetic discourse other than the poems extracted from the Manyōshū.There is much to see, including the history of the compilation of the Manyōshū and the Imperial Anthology.
