Learn and acquire the methodologies needed for reading and interpreting Classical Chinese texts. This aims to accurately understand the meanings conveyed in Classical Chinese, compare them with other literature, and develop the skills to analyze considering the context.
Develop the language proficiency needed for independently reading and interpreting Classical Chinese texts and build a solid foundation for it. Emphasizing grammatical understanding and learning appropriate reading methods will ultimately foster the ability to understand and interpret Classical Chinese texts independently.
After acquiring the above-mentioned skills, apply the techniques of Classical Chinese text interpretation to your own research.
The class will read in turn from “Lectures on Interpretation: How to Read Classical Chinese”, to learn how to read and research classical Chinese literature.Then, students will put it into practice in their own research.

漢文の語法に関しては必要に応じて講義内で解説しますので、前提知識は求めません。
定評のある教科書を熟読し、その内容を身につけて自分自身で使えるようになっていくための学習における粘り強さを求めます。
前期開講の日本文学研究１Ａ（科目コードJG109）の内容を前提として演習を行うので、前期と継続して履修することが望ましい。前期を受講しない者は、事前に洪誠 著, 森賀一惠・橋本秀美 訳『訓詁学講義 中国古語の読み方』(アルヒーフ・2004)を読了のこと。
漢文のテクストを読み解くための方法論を学び、それを実践する能力を身につける。漢文で示されている意味を正確に理解し、他の文献と比較したり、文脈を考慮しながら分析する技術を養うことを目指す。
漢文を自分自身で読み解くための語学力を養成し、その基礎を築く。文法的な理解を重視し、適切な読解方法を学ぶことで、最終的には漢文を自力で理解し解釈する力を身につける。
上記の能力を身につけた上で、自身の研究に漢文読解に関する技術を応用する。
