1 The students will learn the basic process of literary studies by reading some excerpts from famous texts of literary theories, two novels and a secondary literature (an handbook article).
2 We will read and analyse the texts and discuss about how the figure of sisters developed in the literature of 19th century.
3 It is also important to acquire the gender perspective in the cultural history.

ドイツ文学専攻の院生は、文学作品のドイツ語原文も読むこと。
他専攻の院生または学部生（ドイツ語未修者）は文学作品の日本語訳だけを読むということでも構わない。
他専攻の院生または学部生（ドイツ語既修者）は、レベルに応じて部分的にドイツ語も併読する。
1 文学理論の入門書の抜粋、作品例（一次文献）とそれに関する研究論文（二次文献）を読むことで、文学研究の基本を学ぶ。
2 姉妹のモチーフが、19世紀文学の中でどのように展開されてきたか、作品を読解・分析し、議論する。
3 文化史におけるジェンダーの視点を得る。
