We shall, in particular, expand our grasp of human survival strategies and environmental adaptability, both of which are now considered classical form of field science, by combining them with the lecturer's research on local society and culture. 【Course Contents】

The lectures will cover three topics: 1) ethnography of environmental adaptation, 2) interactions between animals/plants and humans, and 3) regional study cases (Silk Road and CIS countries). The first part of the lectures will teach students about human adaptability to the natural environment through case studies of life in diverse locations such as grasslands, deserts, and mountains. In the second part, students will gain practical experience in the creation of regional research on the Central Eurasian CIS countries, also known as the "Silk Road," which is the lecturer's primary focus.
Each lecture will last 45-60 minutes and include 30-45 minutes of activities (presentations, debates, workshops, group work, and so on), and will be delivered using active learning, which allows students to actively participate in the class.
