We will consider the role of beauty and poetry as "calling voices."
Through alternate readings of the works of two thinkers, Simone Weil (1909-43) and Gaston Bachelard (1884-1962), who considered the role of beauty and poetry rooted in reality in turbulent times, we will explore the contemporary world. In this class, we will consider how beauty and poetry can behave as "calling voices."

We will consider the role of beauty and poetry as "calling voices."
激動の時代にあって、現実に根差した美と詩の役割について考察したふたりの思想家、シモーヌ・ヴェイユ（1909-43）とガストン・バシュラール（1884- 1962）の著作を交互に読み解くことを通して、現代において「呼びかける声」としての美と詩がどのようなふるまいをなしうるのかを考察します。
