In this course, we will learn the administrative and financial issues of modern cities through themes that have become a hot topic in recent years.
Although I have indicated a certain direction for the class, I would like to decide on the content of the class based on discussions with the participants. There are no textbooks that match the theme of this course, so we will read related books and papers. In addition, we aim to provide the participants with a theoretical understanding of urban administration and finance through presentations and discussions, as well as concrete understanding through the latest news. The first period will mainly focus on local government expenditures, and the second period will mainly focus on local government revenues.

本コースでは、現代の都市が直面する行財政上の課題を近年話題となっている具体的なテーマを通して学習する。
In this course, we will learn the administrative and financial issues of modern cities through themes that have become a hot topic in recent years.
授業の一定の方向性は示しているが、参加者との話し合いを踏まえて授業内容については決定したい。本コースのテーマに沿った教科書はないため、関連する書籍や論文等を読んでいく。また、学生には発表や討議を通じて、都市行財政のあり方について理論的な理解を深めるとともに、最新のニュースなどを通して具体的に理解することを目指す。なお、春学期は主に自治体の歳出に焦点を当て、秋学期は主に自治体の歳入に焦点を当てる予定である。
