Notes QA313近代経済学2特講1と合同授業

【Course Objectives】

Students will learn about new developments in microeconomics in recent years and, at the same time, understand the possibilities of new analytical methods. In particular, students will understand the relationship between the behaviour of individual economic agents and institutions and their co-evolution.

【Course Contents】

The field of microeconomics has undergone a remarkable transformation in the last thirty years. Modern microeconomic analysis includes various topics, such as strategic interactions among economic agents, the role of institutions in the economy, and the problem of economic evolution. In this lecture, we will read through Samuel Bowles's book, Microeconomics, which shows a brilliant synthesis and development in the theory of economic behaviour. We will also learn about related analytical methods.
