QA364ヨーロッパ経史特殊講義２と合同授業 (旧科目名欧州経済史特論２） |
This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of patterns of resource use in medieval and early modern Europe.
It fosters a historical understanding of resource endowments, circulation, and utilization, and examines their connections to industrial development.
The course also aims to develop the ability to collect and organize specialized information from English- and other foreign-language academic sources.
In medieval and early modern Europe, political, economic, and technological constraints limited the scale of resource extraction, and resource use tended to remain localized when compared with the modern period. Nevertheless, resources were utilized for industrial and commercial purposes, leading to the emergence of regionally distinctive industries.
This course examines the distribution of resources in different regions, their extraction, utilization, and circulation, and traces the historical development of local industries based on these resource endowments.
The resources covered in this course include food resources (such as agricultural products, livestock, and fisheries), forest resources (including timber and tar), and industrial and mineral resources (such as plant and animal fibers, iron, and copper).
Students will research and organize relevant English-language and other foreign-language literature, prepare written summaries, and engage in discussion based on their findings.

中近世ヨーロッパの資源利用の実態について基礎的な知識を得る。
資源賦存，資源流通，利用について歴史的に理解し，産業発展とのつながりが把握できる。
英語その他外国語による専門的な情報収集と整理ができるようになる。
This course provides students with fundamental knowledge of patterns of resource use in medieval and early modern Europe.

中近世ヨーロッパは，政治経済的，技術的な制約から，近現代と比べれば資源の産出は限られ，その利用もローカルな範囲に留まる傾向にありました。しかしそれでも，産業的・商業的な資源活用は行われ，それを背景に各地に固有の産業が立地するようになりました。この授業では，各地の資源の賦存状況，それらの産出と利用，流通をおさえて，その上で各地の産業の発展を跡づけます。
授業で取り上げる資源は，食料資源（農作物，畜産物，水産資源，塩など），森林資源（木材，タールなど），工業・鉱業資源（動植物繊維，鉄や銅，その他の原材料・素材）です。
授業では，履修者が英語その他の文献を調査・整理し，レジュメにまとめ，それをもとに議論を行います。
