Students will learn the ideas and theories of environmental economics. Through this learning, they will develop their ability to logically analyze environmental issues, and cultivate their theoretical thinking skills.
Many environmental issues are caused by human economic activities. To solve these issues, it is essential to analyze them from economic perspective. In this class, students will read English textbooks on environmental economic theories. This class will be in seminar format and focus on reading. Through these, students will learn environmental economic analysis method. Among many environmental economic theories, students will focus and delve into analysis method using mathematical framework and microeconomics foundation. Instead of studying individual environmental issues such as global warming and waste, students will learn universal theories that can apply to the analysis of these issues. The lesson plan is tentative and subject to change depending on the situation.

微分とミクロ経済学に関して学部レベルの知識があることを前提とするので，講義履修前にこれらの分野の予習を行うことを推奨する。
また、輪読形式で行うので発表者は十分に準備（各回5時間程度）を行って講義に臨み、発表担当になっていないで場合であっても事前にテキストを読み込んでおくこと（各回2時間程度）。講義後は内容の復習（各回1.5時間程度）をすることが望ましい。

本講義では学部レベルのミクロ経済学と微分の知識があることを前提に輪読形式の講義を行う。
環境経済学の考え方やその理論を学ぶことで，環境問題に対する客観的な分析手法を身につけるとともに，論理的な思考力を養うことを目標とする。
Students will learn the ideas and theories of environmental economics. Through this learning, they will develop their ability to logically analyze environmental issues, and cultivate their theoretical thinking skills.
環境問題の多くは人々の経済活動が原因となって発生しており，その解決のためには経済学的な視点から問題を分析することが必要不可欠となる。授業では環境経済学の理論について扱ったテキスト（洋書を含む）として取り上げ，輪読を中心とした演習形式の授業を通し環境経済学の分析手法を習得することを目指す。環境経済学の理論には様々なものがあるが，その中でも特に，ミクロ経済学をベースとした数理的な枠組みを用いた分析方法についての理解を深めていく。なお，授業では地球温暖化問題や廃棄物問題といった個別の環境問題を大きく取り上げることはせず，それらの問題の分析に用いることができる一般的な理論を学ぶことを目標とする。授業計画はあくまで目安であり参加者の状況によって変化する場合がある。
