Students will read the latest academic literature in environmental economics to understand methods, research processes, and the latest research findings in this field.
Although environmental economics is relatively a new area of study, research in this field have been making rapid progress overseas in recent years. In this class, students will intensively read influential articles on environmental economics in turn. The articles we read are dealt with the analysis of policy effects including environmental tax, regulation, and law. Students will learn and practice how to analyze the effect of environmental policy. They will also learn and practice writing research thesis. In this seminar, we will deal with not only classic literatures but also the latest research theses, covering wide range of environmental economics study. The articles to be read in the class are listed in the syllabus, but they are tentative and subject to change depending on the situation.

環境経済学の分野の学術論文を精読することで，環境経済学の手法や研究の流れ，最新の研究内容を理解することを目指す。
Students will read the latest academic literature in environmental economics to understand methods, research processes, and the latest research findings in this field.
環境経済学は比較的歴史の新しい分野であるが，近年海外を中心に急速に研究が進められてきた分野でもある。授業では環境経済学系の論文誌に掲載された論文の中から，海外の文献を中心に，環境経済学の研究において影響の大きかったと思われる文献に注目し，演習形式の輪読を行うことでその内容を丁寧に追っていく。特に，環境税や規制，環境法といった政策の効果を分析した論文を取り上げ，環境政策の効果を分析する手法や研究論文の書き方を実践的に学ぶことを目指す。また，古典的な文献だけでなく最新の研究論文も取り上げることで，環境経済学の研究内容に幅広く触れることも目標とする。授業計画では各回に取り上げる予定の論文テーマを挙げてあるが，あくまでも目安であり，参加者の状況によって変更する場合がある。
