a) Students will be able to identify factors that will increase the effectiveness of a presentation.
b) Students will develop their confidence when giving a presentation in English.
c) Students will understand the process of creating a strong abstract and preparing a presentation.
e) [Mainly Ph.D. students] Students will understand how to form a presentation panel, construct a strong panel application, and prepare for a group presentation.
f) [Mainly Ph.D. students] Students will be able to participate in conference sessions as an active audience, a panel chair, and a discussant.
Research presentation is an essential part of graduate studies and professional life. This course is designed to help students present their research in English. In addition to lectures by an instructor, students will participate in mock presentations and constructive feedback exchanges in a friendly atmosphere. Upon request, the class will include guidance on the application for various competitions, professional presentations, or tips for other personal communication. The order of topics may be adjusted to maximize learning outcomes.
