【Course Objectives】

This course aims to equip students with core quantitative skills and econometric techniques for analyzing key topics in Development Economics. It also offers hands-on opportunities to develop empirical analysis skills using Stata.

【Course Contents】

Development economics explores a wide range of issues in low-income countries, including growth, poverty, inequality, education, urbanization, rural stagnation, environmental degradation, trade, investment, governance, and aid. This course emphasizes empirical research and policy debates on growth, inequality, poverty, and causal inference. Students will build essential skills for advanced empirical analysis using Stata.
