Students will review and understand the latest studies on topics such as works in the new （or gig) economy, high involvement work systems, flexible forms of employment, balance between work and life, women's work, and new labor movement which are discussed in English journals.
Students will review and understand the latest studies on topics such as works in the new （or gig) economy, high involvement work systems, flexible forms of employment, balance between work and life, women's work, and new labor movement which are discussed in English journals. Students will read the latest papers from the following journals.
American Journal of Sociology,
American Sociological Review,
British Journal of Industrial Relation,
Capital and Class,
Economic and Industrial Democracy,
Labor Studies Journal,
Work, Employment and Society, etc.
In this class, students are able to understand the latest arguments discussed in English-speaking countries and areas and also to consider implications of these arguments for Japanese economy, society, and workers.

英語圏ジャーナルに掲載されている、新経済・ギグ経済における仕事、高インボルブメントワークシステム，多様な雇用形態，ワーク・ワーク・バランス、女性労働、新しい労働運動などに関する諸論文を読み、最新の議論を検討・理解する。
Students will review and understand the latest studies on topics such as works in the new （or gig) economy, high involvement work systems, flexible forms of employment, balance between work and life, women's work, and new labor movement which are discussed in English journals.
新経済・ギグ経済における仕事、高インボルブメントワークシステム，多様な雇用形態，ワーク・ワーク・バランス、女性労働、新しい労働運動に関する英語圏ジャーナルの諸論文を講読し，最新の議論や論点を検討する。以下のジャーナルから最近の論文を選定し，講読する。

授業では，英語圏ジャーナルにおける最新の議論の理解のみならず，日本の経済・経営システム，労働・雇用状況に照らし合わせ，その議論の適用可能性や意味合いについても議論していきたい。
