【Course Objectives】

To understand in detail the theory of consumer society.
To understand in detail the past of the consumer society and how it has influenced the present.
To understand the different events that take place in consumer society according to sociology.

【Course Contents】

In order to understand consumer society, it is important to analyze its history in the context of a specific subject. Therefore, while critically reviewing the existing literature, we expect each student to determine his or her own specific subject and pursue his or her own research. The subjects of analysis are expected to include a variety of social phenomena such as popular culture, sex, family, and labor.
