One of the genealogies of media and journalism studies is sender studies.
This class focuses on the analysis of sender discourse as qualitative research.
The objectives are as follows:
(1) To understand the materials related to sender discourse.
(2) To master the basics of sender discourse analysis.
(3) To gain an understanding of the work and routines of senders.
This course is designed for students interested in media and journalism senders, and who wish to acquire a basic understanding of discourse analysis.
Since the course is expected to be offered in small groups, it will likely be conducted in the form of a seminar.
The main focus will be on newspaper journalists, including political reporters, economists, photographers, and editors.
Each participant will select a specific sender to focus on, based on seminar discussions.
The content of the seminar may be adjusted depending on the participants' level of knowledge.

メディア研究やジャーナリズム研究の系譜のひとつに、送り手研究がある。
本授業では質的研究のひとつとして、送り手の言説分析を扱う。
目標は、以下の3つである。
①送り手の言説を含む資料群を把握する。
②送り手の言説分析の基礎を修得する。
③送り手の職務や業務（ルーチン）の一部を知る。

▽本授業は、メディアやジャーナリズムの送り手に興味があり、それらの言説分析の基礎を身につけたい受講生向けの科目である。
▽少人数での開講が予想されるため、演習的に進める可能性が高い。
▼主に扱うのは、新聞記者である。
具体的には、政治記者、経済記者、写真記者、整理記者などである。
▼各参加者が扱う送り手は、ゼミにおいて議論した上で決定する。
