This course covers major problems in data science as well as applied use cases in sports science. Students will learn the basic problem-solving methods using data science approaches. Students will also cultivate problem solving skills by applying the methods to their topic of interest in sports science.
This course will provide you knowledge regarding data science-based problem-solving skills. During this semester, you will learn (1) major data science problems, (2) and data science methods to solve such problems, (3) applied use cases in sports science. In addition, you will choose one topic in sports science that can apply data science approaches, present your ideas to the entire class, and discuss your ideas with classmates.

データサイエンスが解決する主な課題やスポーツにおける応用事例を学び、データサイエンスの課題解決の方法論に関する理解を深める。また、データサイエンス的課題解決力の向上を図る。

本講義では、データサイエンスの分野における一般的な課題とそれらを解決するデータサイエンスの手法を学ぶとともに、スポーツにおける応用事例についても理解を深める。また、受講者が自ら選択したテーマについて、データサイエンスの手法を活用した課題解決アプローチを考案し、その内容を発表、議論する。

本講義では基本的なPCでのファイル操作（ファイルのコピーやペースト、ファイルの圧縮や解凍など）や基本的なGoogle Driveの操作方法（Google Drive上のフォルダ・ファイル操作、ファイルのコピー・共有など）、Microsoft Office（Word、Excel、PowerPoint）の操作方法は習得していることを前提とします。
課題提出にはPCでの作業が必須となります。個人のPCを持参することを強く推奨します。あるいはメディアセンターよりPCを借りるようにしてください。
