This course aims to (i) identify current trends in public international law scholarship by examining the latest research articles and (ii) broaden students’ intellectual perspective by developing an understanding of doctrines and scholarly debates from a diachronic (historical) viewpoint.
In each class, we will take up one research article from an edited volume in Japanese, English, or French and examine it through (i) internal critique (assessing the argument on its own terms) and (ii) external critique (assessing it in light of relevant scholarship and context).

最新の研究論文を検討することで国際法研究の動向を捉えると共に、通時的な観点から学説を理解する知的視野を開くことを目標とする。
This course aims to (i) identify current trends in public international law scholarship by examining the latest research articles and (ii) broaden students’ intellectual perspective by developing an understanding of doctrines and scholarly debates from a diachronic (historical) viewpoint.
日本語、英語、あるいはフランス語の論文集に収録された研究論文を、各回１編取り上げ、内在的批判及び外在的批判を通して検討する。
