The purpose of this course is to examine constitutional law theories with a focus on several issues concerning the structure of government. The course covers the basic theoretical frameworks while considering political dynamics in today’s world.
Students study various literature about the constitutional structure of government. This course uses literature written in English as well as Japanese. Although course materials and specific topics are adjusted according to students' interests, the first topic is judicial review. Other contents will be decided during the first meeting, so students should be sure to attend.

憲法学において論じられる統治機構に関する諸問題について検討する。現代的問題状況にも意を払いながら、基礎的な理論枠組を確認することが主たる目標となる。

統治機構論に関する各種の文献を講読する。日本語文献だけでなく英語文献も用いる。教材や具体的テーマは、参加者の関心に応じて調整するが、最初の切り口としては、違憲審査制を取り上げる。その他の内容については初回に決定するので、受講者は必ず出席すること。
