In this course we study the charatteristics of Japanese politics in the Showa era based on primary resources with two special attentions: the mutual links and changes of the both and the continuity and changes of the prewar and postwar periods. Students require to present a short term paper on these topics.
Students are required to collet information they need to write a term paper and read primary sources beforehand according to their out interests and prepare a presentation every class. The teacher may assign some task according to the level of the student.

日本の近現代に関する知識
昭和期日本政治の内政と外交の特質を、一次資料に基づいて明らかにする。特に、その連関の在り方と戦前・戦後の連続と変化について考察する。期末には最終レポートを書き上げる。

受講者は、自身の関心に基づき、公開された一次史料を国会図書館、国立公文書館などで探索しつつ、報告準備を行う。必要に応じてテーマ・課題を与える。
