To develop an understanding of the CCP's way of governing based on up-to-date literature and to link this to their own research. To develop the ability to read the literature correctly, summarize its content appropriately and report it orally in an easy-to-understand manner.
The reality of the Chinese Communist Party's governance has always been shrouded in mystery, but in recent years a number of books have been published by researchers active in Japan, written in Japanese, which provide an insight into the inner workings of the regime. By reading and understanding them, the participants will gain an understanding of the realities of Chinese politics. A person in charge of reporting will be designated and asked to summarise and explain the literature and comment on it. In response to this, all participants will discuss the issues together.
In the second half of the course, the students will present their research as part of their preparation for their own master's thesis and research paper, referring to the content of this course.

中国共産党の統治の実態は常に謎に包まれているが、近年、日本で活躍する研究者によって、邦語で書かれた、政権の内部に迫る文献が多数発刊されている。それらを読解することで、中国政治の実態を理解する。報告担当者を指定し、文献の要約・解説と、文献に対するコメントを行ってもらう。それを受けて、受講者全員で議論を行う。
また、授業の後半では、本授業の内容を参照しつつ、受講者は自身の修士論文およびリサーチ・ペーパー作成のための準備の一環として、研究報告を行う。
