【Course Objectives】

The purposes of this course are (1) to cultivate the ability to conduct research drawing from multifaceted thinking; (2) to announce results based on acquired knowledge with respect to Political Science research; and (3) to cultivate the ability to comment on and evaluate others' research.

【Course Contents】

This course aims for graduate school students to present the results of their own research, with participation not only from principal and assistant advisory faculty members but also other faculty members and master’s/doctoral graduate students, in order to provide research guidance from many different angles. Specifically, students are scheduled to present the concepts behind their master's papers (research papers) and doctoral dissertations, reports given as a rehearsal for presentations at conferences and workshops, and reports about the contents of papers scheduled to be submitted to academic journals. During each meeting, the student presenting a report selects the topic and prepares the presentation content and materials for presenting their research concept to faculty members and students. The students in the audience ask questions and comment on the reports of other students to practice engaging in academic discussions. All graduate students majoring in Political Science, regardless of their class year or whether they are in the master’s program or doctoral program, must take and attend this course unless there are extenuating circumstances.
