【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

キリスト教史におけるキリスト教信仰の伝統について学ぶ。それは単なる教会史、教理史の研究以上の現代的意義を有する学問実践となるインパクトを本来は備えている。というのも、現在の様々に複雑化した世界状況において、キリスト教が求められている役割は大きい。しかしながら、現在のキリスト教世界もまた、内部において対立、分裂状況を含んでおり、平和と一致に向けた歩み寄りが大きな課題となっている。そのような時代状況中で、様々な教団教派の歴史と伝統、それぞれの固有性に立脚しつつも、もう一度自らのよって立つところの源泉を再確認することは、自己理解及び相互理解を刷新、深化せしめるとともに、そこに、照古照今、新たにして、古き、キリスト教の対話的相互理解の基盤を探り当てることを可能とするものである。

We will learn about the tradition of Christian faith in Christian history. It originally had more significance from its academic applications with modern sense than simply researching the history of the church and its doctrine, because the role sought for Christianity in the current complex world situation is broad. However, in the current Christian world, there are internal rivalries and divisions. It is a big challenge to move forward way that works with peace. In a situation of a period like that, by reconfirming the origin of where they stand while based on the history and tradition of various religious groups and denominations as well as their respective characteristics, it is possible to reform and deepen self-understanding and mutual understanding and at the same time, by referring to both the past and present as well as searching and discovering the foundation of Christian interactive mutual understanding.

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

上記の授業の目的を達すべく、キリスト教史、教会史に関するテキスト、また、キリスト教思想家のテキストの神学・哲学的思想内容について理解を深める。内容は受講者の様子によって変更される場合がある。テキストは日本語訳のあるものを取り上げる予定。今年度は、近代批判の観点から中世・近世キリスト教を問い直すこととし、貧しさ、沈黙、生命をめぐる問題を取り扱う予定。

We will deepen our understanding of the theological and philosophical thought from the texts of Christian thinkers to achieve the above purpose of the course. The content may change depending on the situation of the students. We plan to use Latin texts that have Japanese translations.
