We will read the original text of “First Epistle to the Corinthians” (Ancient Greek) and examine it analytically.
The First Corinthian Letter is one of Paul's authentic letters, addressed to the Christian community he himself founded in Corinth, the capital of the then Roman province of Achaia (AD 55, dispatched from Ephesus). The city of Corinth, despite being in Greece, had a pronounced Roman element, a thriving commerce, a large Jewish and other Oriental population, and was culturally and religiously extremely diverse. This diversity is reflected in this letter, which is an excellent text for exploring Christianity in an ancient multicultural society.
Participants will read the commentaries in modern languages for which they are responsible. The presenters will examine the source texts in the light of all the commentaries and other freely referenced secondary literature, and present their own exegesis. This will be followed by a collaborative discussion.

『第一コリントス書簡』を原典テキスト（古代ギリシア語）で読み、釈義的に検討する。
We will read the original text of “First Epistle to the Corinthians” (Ancient Greek) and examine it analytically.
『第一コリントス書簡』はパウロの真正書簡のひとつであり、当時のローマ属州アカイアの州都コリントスにパウロ自身が創設したキリスト教共同体に宛てた書簡である（AD 55年、エフェソスより発送）。都市コリントスはギリシアにありながらローマ的要素が顕著であり、商業が盛んで、ユダヤ人を含むオリエント系の住民も多く暮らしており、文化的・宗教的にきわめて多様であった。この多様性を本書簡も反映しており、古代の多文化社会におけるキリスト教のあり方を探る上で、格好のテクストである。
参加者は、各自が担当する現代語による注解書を読んでくる。発表者は、すべての注解書と、その他自由に参照する二次文献を踏まえつつ原典テキストを検討し、独自の釈義を発表する。その後、共同で討論を行う。
