This course is for those who have experienced musical performance in church. We will learn organ performance methods that much depend on the country, era, and denomination. We will acquire the required knowledge and skills for musical performers in church. This course is not meant for beginners to organ and musical performance. One must take “Organ Lessons 1” and “Organ Lessons 2” to be enroll in this course. The goal is to practice during the worship of the church that the student is affiliated with.
Continuing from “Organ Lessons 1,” having group lessons with a maximum of three students, we will listen to each other’s performances and objectively and accurately improve our listening capabilities. We will learn about not only organ pieces but also performance methods for hymns, chants, and psalms. In addition, we examine the relationship between words and music. We will acquire performance methods that differ based on the piece and instrument and improve our skill in choosing an appropriate sound. Advanced students will tackle musical arrangement and improvisation methods necessary to performance.

教会での奏楽経験者を対象とし、国や時代、教派によって様々に異なるオルガンの演奏法を学び、教会音楽奉仕者に必要不可欠な知識と技術を習得する。「オルガン演奏法１」と「オルガン演奏法２」の両方を受講することが必須。所属する教会の礼拝で実践することを目標とし、オルガン演奏や奏楽の初心者は受講の対象としない。

「オルガン演奏法１」に引き続き、3人を上限とするグループレッスンを原則とし、互いの演奏を聴き合うことで、客観的かつ的確な聴力を養う。オルガンの楽曲のみならず、聖歌やチャント、詩編の伴奏法を学び、言葉と音楽の関係性についても考察する。楽曲や楽器によって異なる演奏法を習得し、適切な音を選ぶ技術を養う。上級者は、奏楽に必要な編曲や即興を課題とする。
