Students will learn about various topics related to Japanese culture and society, such as social issues and the culture surrounding the performing arts. Students will improve their ability to take in information and express themselves using Japanese while deepening their understanding of these topics.
Students will read literature and watch videos regarding various topics related to Japanese culture and society, such as social issues and the culture surrounding the performing arts. There will also be lectures, but classes will primarily be focused on discussions and presentations, in order also to enhance students’ ability to set tasks. Students will be tasked with creating a final presentation or report summarizing what they have learned.

時事問題など日本の文化・社会に関する様々なトピックをとりあげ,それに関する文献を読んだり,ビデオを見たりする。講義も行うが,主としてテーマについてのディスカッションやプレゼンテーションを中心とした授業を行い,課題設定能力も高める。最後にまとめとしてプレゼンテーションまたはレポートを課す。
