This course will provide an in-depth study of the specialized academic procedures of history.
It will also develop the following fundamental skills for writing a research paper:
(1) Ability to clearly express one's concerns.
(2) Ability to accurately critique previous research and position one's own research within that context.
(3) Ability to gain the ability to position and view one's own issues from a broader perspective.
(4) Ability to accurately derive points of discussion and arguments from historical sources.
This will be decided in consultation with students.
Basically, after a bit of guidance, the lecture will cover historical methodology and the current state of research.
This will be followed by individual research presentations, primarily group readings of research papers and literature.

歴史学の専門的な学問手続きについて深く学びます。
論文作成にあたっての以下のような基本的な力を育みます。
（１）問題意識を明確に表現することができる。
（２）先行研究の批評を的確に行い、自らの研究をそこに位置づけることができる。
（３）より広い視野から自分の問題を位置づけて見る視点を獲得できる。
（４）史料から的確に論点や論述を導きだすことができる。

受講生と相談して決めます。
基本的には若干のガイダンスののち、歴史学の方法論、現在の研究状況について講義します。
そのあと、個人の研究報告ー主として研究論文・文献の輪読を行う予定です。
