Acquire knowledge of the history of welfare and be able to understand and explain the historical origins and structure of the various safety nets in contemporary society.
We are always taken care of by someone at some point in our lives. This course will study the historical origins of the various safety nets that support our lives, from informal mutual assistance by family and relatives, to institutionalized support mechanisms such as local and workplace communities, private charitable organizations, and welfare government organizations.

授業の目標およびすべての評価方法において、前期課程よりも高度な達成水準を要求する。
福祉の歴史に関する知識を獲得し、現代社会における様々なセーフティネットの歴史的成り立ちとその構造を理解し、説明できるようになる。
なお、前期課程よりも高度な知識・スキルを身に着けることを目標とする。

私達は人生のどこかで必ず誰かの世話になっています。家族や親族によるインフォーマルな相互扶助から、地域や職場のコミュニティ、民間チャリティ団体や福祉行政組織などの制度化された支援の仕組みまで、私たちの生を支える様々なセーフティネットの歴史的成り立ちを学びます。
