KA213「欧州経済史特論１」との併置科目 |
Students will acquire knowledge of European economic history and be able to consider the structure of the European economy. Based on this, they will understand the framework of economic history research. In particular, they will be able to understand the economic history of Europe from a global perspective.
We will read in detail 'The Modern World-System' by Wallerstein, an important text on the economic history of Europe. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to examine the modern development of European capitalism from a global perspective. There is a Japanese translation of all four volumes, and we will cover the first volume. This is because volumes 1 and 2 have had the greatest impact on economic history research, and various debates have arisen over the theories developed in them. We will cover Volume 2 in the second semester.
Each student should read the assigned section in advance and summarize the content in an abstract. In class, we will review and explain the content and have a controversial discussion.

日本語が母国語でない場合は，大学授業レベルの日本語能力が求められます。それ以外は，特別な能力は求められません。ヨーロッパの歴史に関する予備知識がなくても，授業にしっかり取り組めば理解できる内容になっています。
ヨーロッパ経済史に関する知識を獲得し，ヨーロッパ経済の構造について考察できるようになる。それに基づき，経済史研究における問題の所在や議論の枠組みを理解する。とくにグローバルな観点からヨーロッパ経済史を把握できるようになる。前期課程よりも高度な知識・スキルを身に着けることを目標とする。

ヨーロッパ経済史に関する重要文献であるウォーラーステイン著『近代世界システム』を精読します。本書は，ヨーロッパ資本主義の近代的発達をグローバルな視点から考察するための必読文献です。全４巻で邦語訳がありますが，そのうちの第１巻を扱います。第１巻と第２巻が，経済史研究においてもっとも影響力をもち，そこで展開された理論をめぐってさまざまな論争が生まれてきたからです。第２巻は秋学期に扱います。
受講者それぞれは，指定された範囲を事前に読み，その内容をレジュメにまとめてください。授業では内容の確認・解説をするとともに，論争的な議論を行います。
