In this course, students will examine the fundamental question of educational philosophy—“What is education for human beings?”—through presentations by graduate students themselves and close reading of literature. The insights gained will then be applied toward completing their doctoral dissertations.
Furthermore, the goal is to acquire knowledge, skills, and dissertation writing abilities that are more advanced than those of the master's program.
This course is a philosophical study of "what education is. Themes such as the philosophy of education, principles of educational policy, educational ethics, moral education, and philosophy of special-needs education will be covered, basically through presentations and discussions by each participant.
This year, graduate students will take turns presenting their research, and we will hold discussions based on the content of these presentations.

授業の目標およびすべての評価方法において、前期課程よりも高度な達成水準を要求する。
この授業では、「人間にとってそもそも教育とは何か」という教育哲学の根本問題について、院生自身による発表と文献講読を通して考察し、そこでの成果を自分の博士論文の完成へと繋げていく
なお、前期博士課程（修士課程）よりも高度な知識、スキル、論文作成力を身に付けることを目標とする。

「教育とは何か」について哲学的に考察していきます。教育哲学、教育政策の原理、教育倫理、道徳教育、特別支援教育の哲学といったテーマを扱いますが、基本的に受講者それぞれによる発表とディスカッションを中心に進めていきます。
今年度は、院生による研究発表を順番に行い、発表内容をもとにディスカッションしていきます。
