(1) Students will become proficient in reading and understanding Meiji and Taisho period literature.
(2) Students will learn the basics of research through the class, such as reviewing previous research, identifying problems in previous research, and identifying measures to overcome these problems.
(3) Students will use the reading of “Child Study” as a springboard to grasp the relationships among psychologists and pedagogues of the Meiji and Taisho eras.
Students will consider what areas and to what extent the concept of “play” prevailed during the Meiji period.
Students will read “Jidō Kenkyū” and consider the influential relationship between psychology and pedagogy during the Meiji and Taisho periods.

ノートPCを毎回準備すること。
授業の目標およびすべての評価方法において、前期課程よりも高度な達成水準を要求する。
（1）明治・大正期の文献の読解に習熟する。
（2）授業を通して、先行研究のレビュー、先行研究の問題点の抽出、それを乗り越えるための方策の見極めといった、研究の基礎を体験的に学ぶ。
（3）『児童研究』の講読を足がかりにして、当代の人的ネットワークを把握する。
