This class will reexamine the close relationship between modern Japanese literature and newspapers as a form of media. In particular, we will conduct a detailed analysis of newspaper novels published in the 1930s and 1940s, considering them within the broader context of contemporary newspaper culture.Through this process, doctoral students will acquire practical research methods that will help them develop their current research themes.
We will read carefully the novels published in newspapers during and after World War Ⅱ.

この授業では、日本の近代文学と、新聞というメディアとの密接な関係について再検討する。特に一九三〇年代から四〇年代にかけて発表された新聞小説を、当時の新聞紙面を文脈にして、具体的に分析する。そのような考察を通じて、博士後期課程の学生は、現在の研究テーマを発展させる手がかりとなる、実践的な調査の手法を身につける。
This class will reexamine the close relationship between modern Japanese literature and newspapers as a form of media. In particular, we will conduct a detailed analysis of newspaper novels published in the 1930s and 1940s, considering them within the broader context of contemporary newspaper culture.Through this process, doctoral students will acquire practical research methods that will help them develop their current research themes.
