KA307世界経済特論１と合同授業 |
Students will learn how the European Union responded to the euro crisis and how economic divergence among its member states.
The goal is to acquire more advanced knowledge and skills than those in the Master’s program.
The European Union (EU) has repeatedly faced crises under the single currency, the euro, and has responded by creating financial assistance mechanisms and strengthening fiscal rules. This lecture examines the euro crisis, subsequent institutional reforms, and their impact on macroeconomic performance and economic divergence among member states.
In the first half of the course, we read an academic analysis to understand the institutional design of the euro area, the dynamics of the crisis and the main elements of crisis management. In the second half, we read and discuss official reports published before COVID-19 by the European Commission, the ECB, the IMF and others, in order to analyse post-crisis divergence and convergence in the euro area using data. Grading is based on class presentations, participation in discussions, and submitted written reports.

前期課程よりも高度な知識・スキルを身に着けることを目標とする。
Students will learn how the European Union responded to the euro crisis and how economic divergence among its member states.

欧州連合（EU）は単一通貨ユーロの下で度重なる危機に直面し、そのつど金融支援制度や財政規律の強化などを通じて危機対応を行ってきた。本科目では、ユーロ危機とその後の制度改革、そしてこうした危機対応が加盟国間のマクロ経済パフォーマンスと経済的ダイバージェンス（格差・乖離）に与えた影響について学ぶ。
前半では、危機発生までの制度設計、危機のメカニズム、危機対応の基本的枠組みを整理する。後半では、COVID-19 以前に公表された欧州委員会、ECB、IMF 等の公式レポートを輪読し、危機後の加盟国間格差や収斂・乖離の実態をデータとともに検討する。成績評価は、授業での報告・議論への貢献および提出されたレポートに基づく。
