前期課程「文化人類学」と合同授業． |
The purpose of this class is to reexamine the major theories and methodologies of cultural anthropology and to develop the ability to critically interpret ethnographic research.
Specific goals are: 1) to gain a historical theoretical understanding of core concepts such as culture, society, power, value, and materiality; 2) to grasp methodological and ethical issues in contemporary anthropology; and 3) to be able to position one's own research topic within anthropological debates and refine one's own original questions.
This class will focus on literature reading, discussion, and student presentations.
Students are required to read the assigned literature (including English literature) in advance and come to class prepared with a summary of the main points and critical arguments.
In the second half of the class, students will review literature and develop research plans in line with their individual research themes, deepening their research through mutual commentary.

本授業は、文化人類学の主要理論と方法論を再検討し、民族誌的研究を批判的に読み解く力を養うことを目的とする。
具体的には、①文化・社会・権力・価値・物質性といった中核概念を理論史的に理解すること、②現代人類学における方法論的・倫理的課題を把握すること、③自身の研究テーマを文化人類学的議論の中に位置づけ、独自の問いを精緻化できるようになることを目標とする。

本授業は、文献講読・ディスカッション・学生発表を中心に進める。
毎回、指定文献（英語文献を含む）を事前に読み、要点整理と批判的論点を準備したうえで授業に参加することを求める。
授業後半では、受講生各自の研究テーマに即した文献検討や研究計画の検討を行い、相互コメントを通じて研究を深化させる。
