Students will study tourism area planning methods and think about plans for sustainable destination planning from long/short-term and narrow/broad perspectives.
Along with learning about the establishment and development of various sightseeing spots in Japan and their issues, students will understand planning methods for issue resolution and try making surveys and proposals relevant to actual regions of relevance.
Class will involve lectures as well as reports and discussions from students, along with comments and analysis from the instructor.

観光地の計画手法を学び、長期・短期、狭域・広域の視点から持続可能な観光地づくりの計画について考える。
Students will study tourism area planning methods and think about plans for sustainable destination planning from long/short-term and narrow/broad perspectives.
わが国の様々な観光地の成立と展開、およびその課題について学ぶとともに、課題解決のための計画手法を理解し、実際に対象地を定めて調査・提案を試みる。
授業は講義ならびに受講生によるレポートとディスカッション、教員によるコメントと解説により進める。
