Understanding issues of reproducibility, recognizing problematic research practices and what constitutes sound research practices, and becoming capable of conducting research appropriately.
Since the 2011 paper commonly known as the “psychic abilities paper,” the issue of reproducibility in psychological research has gained attention, leading to changes in research practices and the methods of peer review and paper acceptance. However, these changes have not yet been widely implemented. Different fields face distinct challenges. In this course, we will read papers discussing the reproducibility problem and empirical research papers attempting to address it, thereby deepening our understanding of the reproducibility issue.

再現性問題について理解し，問題のある研究実践およびあるべき研究実践を知って，適切な研究実践が行えるようになることを目指す。

2011年の通称「超能力論文」以降，心理学研究の再現性問題が注目されるようになり，研究の実践，論文の査読や採択についても対応がなされるようになってきた。しかしまだ常識になるほどとはいえず，またそう簡単に常識とできるほど単純な問題ともいえないのが再現性問題である。領域により抱える問題も異なる。本科目では，再現性問題について論じた論文および再現性問題に対応しようとしている実証研究論文などを読み，再現性問題についての理解を深める。
