Students will train critical thinking skills through analyzing and critically evaluating the latest research articles from a critical perspective while learning the fundamental knowledge of cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Students will also improve research skills necessary for graduate-level studies, such as comprehensive literature reviews in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, and experimental psychology. Finally, students will develop presentation skills to effectively communicate their research and findings in a comprehensible manner.
Students will give presentations on fundamental knowledge in cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience, as well as on recent research articles. Students will also be required to conduct a literature review on a topic of their interest and present their findings. Discussions will be conducted after each presentation. Students will present their own research plans and progress, engaging in group discussions. Individual meetings with the instructor will be arranged if necessary.

•認知心理学・認知神経科学の基礎的知見を学習しながら、最新の研究論文を読み解き、批判的な立場から検証を行える、クリティカルシンキング能力を鍛える。
•認知心理学、認知神経科学、実験心理学等幅広く文献調査する能力、文献調査の結果を批判的に考察できるディスカッション能力など、研究を行う大学院生が身に着けるべき基礎的能力を養成する。
•正確で理解しやすい形で自身の研究内容の発表や研究成果の公表ができるプレゼンテーション能力を養う。

• 指定した認知心理学・認知神経科学の基礎的な知見、および最新研究に関する論文についてプレゼンテーション形式で発表し、批判的な観点から討論を行う。
• 自分自身が興味を持つテーマに関する文献調査を行い、文献調査の結果に関するプレゼンテーションとディスカッションを行う。
• 履修生自身の研究計画、研究進捗について発表し、履修者全体で議論する。必要に応じて教員と個別面談を行う。
