1. Students are to gain sufficient understanding of the purposes, meanings, methods, background theories of psychological assessments as well as the ethics surrounding them, which are required as a certified public psychologist or a clinical psychologist.
2. Students are to learn knowledges and skills to conduct psychological assessments and give feedback of the results to the clients smoothly and appropriately.
3. Students are expected to acquire sufficient knowledges to suggest appropriate psychological support to clients by the use of results of psychological assessments.
Seminar in Personality Assessment 1 contains materials required for the certification as a clinical psychologist and certified public psychologist. Seminar in Personality Assessment 1 and 2 both focus on psychological assessments, and Seminar in Personality Assessment 1 particularly makes importance on understanding the types of psychological assessments (interviews, observations, and psychological tests), the meanings, the background theories, and the ways to conduct and interpret them in the fields of healthcare, welfare, education, crime and judicial affairs, and industry and labor-related issues. Series of lectures and practical trainings will be provided regarding implementing psychological assessments, analysing and interpreting the results, and writing records and reports in the aim of referring clients to counseling, advice, guidance, and social supports following the assessments.

臨床心理査定演習１は，臨床心理士資格関連科目かつ公認心理師資格関連科目である。臨床心理査定演習１・２は，いずれも心理的アセスメントに焦点を当てた科目だが，特に，臨床心理査定演習１では，保健医療，福祉，教育，司法・犯罪，産業・労働領域において実施される心理的アセスメントについて，その種類（面接，観察，心理検査）や意義，背景理論，実施方法，解釈方法などを広く学ぶことに重点を置く。また，心理的アセスメントの結果をその後の相談，助言，指導，支援につなげられるよう，心理的アセスメントの演習・実習を行い，その実施，分析，解釈，記録，報告に至るまでの一連の基本的知識を身に付ける。
