The goal of this course is to acquire an understanding of the basic concepts and theoretical frameworks of performance studies.
In this course, we will explore foundational texts in performance studies, aiming to understand the basic concepts and theoretical frameworks of the field. We will also address the relationship between performance and digital technology as a sub-theme.
In each session, one or more designated students will present a summary of the assigned readings, followed by additional information from the instructor as needed, and a class-wide discussion. In the second half of the course, students will deliver presentations based on their own interests, building on the content covered in the first half.
Readings will include works by Richard Schechner, Victor Turner, Erving Goffman, and others. However, the final selection of texts will also reflect the specific interests of the students.

パフォーマンス研究の基礎的な概念や理論的枠組を理解する。
The goal of this course is to acquire an understanding of the basic concepts and theoretical frameworks of performance studies.
本授業では、パフォーマンス研究の基本文献を講読し、パフォーマンス研究の基礎的な概念や理論的枠組の理解を目指す。またサブテーマとして、パフォーマンスとデジタル技術の関係ということも意識しながら進める。
毎回の授業では、担当者が講読範囲をレジュメにまとめて発表し、必要に応じて教員が補足を行った上で、クラス全体で議論を行う。後半の授業では、前半の授業内容も踏まえた上で、受講者各自の関心に基づいての自由発表も行う。
講読文献に関しては、リチャード・シェクナーやヴィクター・ターナー、アーヴィング・ゴフマンらのものを予定しているが、受講者の関心も考慮して決定する。
