The course will deepen understanding of how life phenomena were expressed in ancient Chinese medical literature and how they influenced the traditional view of the body, based on historical materials.
Students will read selected passages of the Chinese medical scripture “Huangdi Neijing” and compose modern translations and commentaries in order to understand the text. The lecturer will provide commentary on the original texts, transcriptions, and terminology, and the person in charge of each section will present a modern translation and commentary of the contents in class. In addition, the relationship between traditional medical theory and traditional views of the body will be examined through reading and discussion of historical and contemporary literature and reflected in the preparation of the commentary.

古代中国の医学文献の中で、生命現象がどのように表現されたか、それらが伝統的な身体観にどのような影響を与えたか、史料にもとづき理解を深める。
The course will deepen understanding of how life phenomena were expressed in ancient Chinese medical literature and how they influenced the traditional view of the body, based on historical materials.
中国医学経典『黄帝内経 素問・霊枢』を選読し、現代語訳・解説文の作成を通してテキストを理解する。授業の進行は、原文・書き下し文・用語を講師が解説し、各篇の担当者が現代語訳と内容の解説を授業時に発表する形式を主とする。また、伝統医学理論と伝統的な身体観との関わりについて、史料や現代の文献を読み、ディスカッションを通して考察を深め、解説文の作成に反映させる。
