This course aims to develop students’ research literacy by cultivating the foundational and practical skills necessary for academic research. In preparation for the completion of a master’s thesis, students will systematically learn the full research process, including the formulation of research topics and questions, the identification and critical review of prior studies, an understanding of research methodologies and ethics, data collection and analysis, and academic writing.
・Understanding the basic structure of academic research, including problem formulation, research objectives, literature review and research methods
・Research Ethics Education
・Formulating research topics and research questions
・Understanding the characteristics and methodologies of qualitative and quantitative research
・Examining and selecting appropriate research designs in accordance with research objectives
・Learning the fundamentals of academic writing, including the structure of academic papers, citation practices, and reference management
・Acquiring fundamental skills for academic presentations
・Learning the principles of research ethics, including the protection of research participants’ rights, data management, and ethical considerations regarding the use of AI
・Writing a research proposal in preparation for the master’s thesis

本授業は、研究活動を遂行するために必要な基本的かつ実践的な研究能力を養うことを目的とする。修士論文作成に向けて、研究テーマおよび問いの設定、先行研究の検討と整理、研究方法の基礎理解、研究倫理、データの収集・分析、論文執筆に至るまで、研究プロセス全体を体系的に学ぶ。
This course aims to develop students’ research literacy by cultivating the foundational and practical skills necessary for academic research. In preparation for the completion of a master’s thesis, students will systematically learn the full research process, including the formulation of research topics and questions, the identification and critical review of prior studies, an understanding of research methodologies and ethics, data collection and analysis, and academic writing.
