Students will think about the public from various perspectives.
The concept of the public has become familiar to students as a social studies subject in high school. However, not many people know what it actually is. In this class, we will examine the concept of the public from various angles, including variations in public philosophy, the history of the public, and the current state and potential of public spaces.

高校の社会科の科目ともなり、身近になった公共。だが、その内実はあまり知られていない。この授業では、公共哲学のバリエーション、公共の歴史、公共空間の現状と可能性という観点から、公共について多角的に検討する。
