In this course, we will explore how individuals can become active citizens who contribute to civil society by reading and analyzing literature related to social education, civic education, and theories of citizen formation.
In an era often described as VUCA, it is exceedingly difficult to foresee how individuals can become active citizens who contribute to civil society. Yet, it is equally true that we are living as citizens in such uncertain times. This course aims to examine the essence of this reality through the frameworks provided by various theories.

本科目では，市民社会の担い手たる市民はどのように市民となっていけばよいのかについて，社会教育論，市民社会論等に関わる文献を読みながら検討していく。
In this course, we will explore how individuals can become active citizens who contribute to civil society by reading and analyzing literature related to social education, civic education, and theories of citizen formation.
VUCAな時代といわれるなかで，市民社会の担い手たる市民がどのように市民となっていけばよいのか，その見通しは極めて立ちづらい。そうした状況においても，私たちは市民として生活していることも確かである。その内実を，諸理論のフレームに基づき，検討することとしたい。
