Reading “The Enigma of Japanese Power" by K. Wolferen, which is a classic text on Japanese society theory, we will consider the Japanese governance structure and the characteristics of Japanese society through seminar discussions.

日本論の古典的テキストである K. Wolferen 著『日本権力構造の謎』の講読を進めながら、日本国家の統治構造及び日本社会の特質について考察する。本講義は演習形式で行う。
