To understand organizational management in healthcare and ling-term care facilities from a broad business management perspective.
Medical institutions and long-term care facilities are forced to change their vision and strategies every few years due to rapid changes in the external environment, such as revisions to the reimbursement system. It also faces difficulties in managing their operations, such as balancing the personal career development of many highly specialized professionals with organizational governance.
On the other hand, there are many situations in which quality management and human resource management based on general management theory can be applied in healthcare institutions, but such efforts have not been sufficiently implemented. In addition, a business management perspective that enables strategic collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders in the community will be important in the future.
The purpose of this lecture is to deepen understanding of organizational management in the medical and long-term care fields, and to consider and discuss strategy-based organizational management.
The lecture will consist mainly of discussions by participations based on the lecture material presented. It hopes to find solutions of some problems in the current medical and long-term care field with participants from a wide range of fields.

本科目は、5年以上の実務経験を有する実務家教員による授業であり、全授業回数の50％以上がディスカッションなど双方向形式の授業によって運営されます。
医療機関や介護施設における組織運営について、経営学的な幅広い視点で理解する
To understand organizational management in healthcare and ling-term care facilities from a broad business management perspective.
医療機関や介護施設は、数年ごとにもたらされる診療報酬制度の改訂という外部環境の急激な変化に対し、そのつどビジョンや戦略の変更を余儀なくされる状況に置かれている。また、多くの高度専門職種を抱えるがゆえ、個人のキャリア形成と組織のガバナンスをどのように両立させるかなど、その運営に困難さを抱えている。
一方で、医療機関においては、品質管理や人的資源管理など一般的な経営理論や企業での取り組みなどが応用できる場面は多いと考えられるが、医療の特殊性を大義名分とし、組織的問題に対する取り組みが十分に行われてこなかった側面も存在する。また、今後は地域における幅広いステークホルダーとの戦略的な連携を可能とする経営学的な視点も重要となる。
そこで本講義は、医療経済学概論で整理した医療・介護サービス産業のマクロ的背景や外部環境を踏まえ、医療・介護領域の組織運営に関連した事象について、ミクロ的な視点の整理をもとに理解を深め、戦略に基づいた医療機関や介護施設における組織運営について考察、議論することを目的とする。
なお、本講義は問題提起のための材料を講義にて提示し、それをもとにした参加者によるディスカッションを中心とした構成とする。医療・介護領域の組織運営者や医療者のみならず、幅広い分野からの参加者とともに、現在の医療現場における問題を探り解決の一端を見出す場としたい。
