Notes

【Course Objectives】

“New Product Development 2” is not intended to pursue expertise in a limited research field, but rather to explore comprehensive and panoramic thinking by studying the entire process of new product development in a broad and shallow manner (= generalist research). In other words, this course aims to grasp the overall picture of new product development and to think from a comprehensive perspective, rather than to deepen specialized knowledge of new product development.

【Course Contents】

In “New Product Development 2”, students will create a product proposal based on the content lectured in the related course “New Product Development 1”. However, since it is not possible to manufacture prototypes or mass-produced products, the scope of the project will be limited to paper work. Each student will become a planner and learn the entire process of new product development. Although some lectures will be given, the course will mainly be student-led. This course is designed for beginners and does not require any practical experience in new product development.
