社会デザイン研究科では、教室での対面授業を基本としながら、同時に遠隔地在住の学生の学びを保証するため、オンラインでも受講できる形で授業を行う。なお、履修者全員の了承が取れた場合には、「対面のみ」もしくは「オンラインのみ」で授業を行うこともある。 |
We will sort out the differences between social design and sociology, and understand the relationship between the two. Then, we will discuss ways to apply sociological perspectives to social design through texts and practical examples. The final goal is for each student to come up with creative and feasible proposals to address social issues.
This class will be conducted in the form of exercises with presentations (readings and case studies) by the participants. Specifically, the class will be divided into the following three phases. First, the course instructor will give a basic explanation of the characteristics of the respective perspectives of social design and sociology (lecture phase). Next, we will read basic sociological literature, and discuss the relevance of each theme to social design (round-reading phase). Then, by taking up various examples and practices of social design, we will examine how sociological perspectives and methods are applied to them (Case Study Phase).

社会学の基礎的な文献を読解するために必要な、最低限の知識と能力を有すること。具体的には、「何らかの社会学の授業（たとえば同教員の「社会学原論」や「親密性と現代社会」）を履修したことがある」または「社会学の入門書を読んだことがある」のいずれかの経験を有していることが望ましい。
学生が作成したプレゼン資料を閲覧可能な端末（ノートPCやタブレットPC）を持参することが望ましい。
本科目は授業回の全てにおいて、理論等学術的な知見を踏まえつつ、担当教員の実務家としての経験、または研究成果を活かし、教員と学生との双方向の討論を重視した実践的な授業とする。学生には、課題の発表や討論など、授業での積極的な参加を期待する。
社会デザインと社会学の異同を整理し、両者の関係性を理解する。そのうえで、社会学的視点を、社会デザインに活用するための方途を、テクストや実践例を通して受講者と検討してゆく。最終的には、受講生各自が社会課題に対して創造的かつ実現可能な提案を行うことを目標とする。

本授業は、受講者による発表（輪読・事例検討）を中心とした演習形式で行う。具体的には、以下の3つのフェイズに分けて授業を進めてゆく。まず、社会デザインと社会学のそれぞれの視点の特徴について、科目担当教員が基本的な解説を行う（講義フェイズ）。次に、社会学の基礎となるテキストを輪読し、各回のテーマと社会デザインとの関連性についてディスカッションする（輪読フェイズ）。そして、社会デザインの諸事例・実践例を取り上げることで、それらに社会学の視点や方法がどのように活かされているのかを検討する（事例検討フェイズ）。
